New method for importing audio tracks from CD
In the dialog "Import from CD" you’ll find the button "More..." next to the speed selection.
If you encounter problems grabbing audio tracks from an audio CD (and only then!) you can try to use a different method for grabbing.
Note: This has no effect on copy-protected audio CD’s.
Import from CD -> Configure: You can now change the order of the services via drag’n’drop.
The file info dialog displays "mp3pro" if the file is encoded as such.
Normalize: In the Export dialog you now have the option "normalize" additionally to "meta-normalize".
Added "alt-presets" for Lame Encoder when encoding with variable bitrates.
Playback from CD should be easier on the CPU now.
Drag’n’Drop support for files from the Pool or the Playlist to other applications.
Support for freedb on hard drive.
The library of the disc recognition service from freedb is also available for download on your hard drive. myMP3 supports this library. Please make sure to install the files into a folder "freedb" in the application folder of myMP3 (e.g. c:\program files\Steinberg\myMP3 4.0\freedb)
You can download the library from freedb‘s web site.
